Does magic johnson really have AIDS?

I'm kind of suspicous that magic johnson doesn't really have AIDS beacuse 16 years have passed since he made his announcement to the world and he is still here. I'm just wondering why is eazy e dead and magic still alive. Couldn't eazy have gotten the same treatment that magic got? It just makes absolutely no sense.

What I understand he has is the virus that causes AIDS. He doesn't have full blown AIDS, just that it COULD become AIDS sometime in the future..I hear that many people have the virus and are still living for many, many years before falling ill.

If I remember correctly he announced that he was HIV+ and not necessarily that he has the AIDS virus. They are two different things. I think its one of those things that you can be HIV+ and not have AIDS but if you have AIDS you have to be HIV+.

He has been taking medication for it.

Magic Johnson was NOT diagnosed with Aids, but he has the virus HIV. I am not his personal physician, but my guess is that he is on the HIV cocktail, and hopefully continuing to do well. In other words, he has the presursor to the aids virus, not the actual disease.
