What is the first aid/treatment to asthma?

What is the first aid/treatment to asthma?

Have the patient use their rescue inhaler or nebulizer with the proper medication and dosage prescribed. If the meds don't work within the time frame the doctor told you then the patient needs to go to the hospital immediately.

Usually oxygen or some type of bronchodilator, and sometimes a shot of adrenaline/epinephrine.

the Admission of epinephrine to the patient. (eppi pen)

jokingly it is askpa. seriously, a person with this sickness is supposed to have always at any time a small bottle of ammonia

oxygen inhaler breathing machine or just air

try this- a 100% sure effective remedy
take a vessel with a broad base, fill it 1/4th and boil water in it
add one teaspoon of thyme
cover yourself up with a bedsheet and inhale the steam for atleast 10 mins
if you do this as a preventive treatment twice a week, youll find your ashtma attacks will just go away.
it works like wonder!!

oxygen to alleviate the hypoxia (but not the asthma per se) that results from extreme asthma attacks;
nebulized salbutamol (a short-acting beta-2-agonist), often combined with ipratropium (an anticholinergic);
systemic steroids, oral or intravenous (prednisone, prednisolone, methylprednisolone, dexamethasone, or hydrocortisone)
other bronchodilators that are occasionally effective when the usual drugs fail:
nonspecific beta-agonists, injected or inhaled (epinephrine, isoetharine, isoproterenol, metaproterenol);
anticholinergics, IV or nebulized, with systemic effects (glycopyrrolate, atropine);
methylxanthines (theophylline, aminophylline);
inhalation anesthetics that have a bronchodilatory effect (isoflurane, halothane, enflurane);
the dissociative anaesthetic ketamine, often used in endotracheal tube induction
magnesium sulfate, intravenous; and
intubation and mechanical ventilation, for patients in or approaching respiratory arrest.

-i always have my bronchodilator handy.. but just in case i don't have it with me, coffee really works.. whenever i have this feeling that i am going to have an astma attack, i drink coffee.. i'm not joking.. coffee really helps..
-pursed lip breathing--- breathe in thru the nose and out thru the mouth
-and... in case a person who has asthma really hyperventilate.. use "brown bag"... have the patient breath in and out of the bag..
