Depends on the type/severity. Generally, rinse with cool water. Don't use anything greasy. Don't apply ice. Ice is TOO cold and can further damage the delicate tissues. Keep it dry and uncovered. I would also take an antinflammatory/pain reliver.

run it under cold water and keep it there for ages, its probably best to ring a doctor/ ambulance depending how severe it is.

I kno this prolly doesnt help you now because you need a prescription....but u can see if your neighbors have any....its called burn cream...i know original....but it works within 1 minute and keep applying it when it starts to burn again and it will be gone in like 1 hour.

Noxema Cold Cream is instant relief, though I agree with one of the earlier post that Aloe Vera would probably help heal any damage. If you know a pharmacist, get some silvadyne ointment and you are cured! they use it on more sever burns.

If you have a burn rub ointment and burn cream into it to reduce the pain and cover with a band aid to avoid heat from the sun. DO NOT PUT IT IN ICE OR COLD WATER! It will put your skin in shock and and damage the outer layer of the skin. It's like burning a pizza and refreezing it . It will damage it too much to be used.

Run the burn under cold water for around 10minutes. Do not cover it or put any lotions on because it will cause it to blister.

Believe it or not, Colgate toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns. Try it!

1st put ice or something cold, your skin is cooking when you burn so stop the heat. then put some burn med on or if its to bad get to a ER burns can become infected.

Aloe Vera - if you don't have a plant, get one. Just break off a piece and rub the goo on the burn and it helps immediately. It heals really fast and there's hardly a scar after wards.

Zinc Oxide ointment works well and helps to heal it fast. Very inexpensive and can be purchased in any drug store.

Nothing better than fast running cold water for a good 5-10 minutes, if the burn is too serious, then a thin protective, antiseptic dressing to stop it rubbing to avoid further damage.

If the burn is serious, one should go to hospital for proper treatment.

Stick the burnt area under a tap of running water.

run it under water for a least ten to fifteen minutes. dont put any creams on it or dressings as the fibres from say a tea towel or bandage will stick to the burn as it drys which will hurt like billy oh when you pull the dressing off. wrap it lightly in clingfilm to stop infection getting into it . depending on the severity go to casulty or phone local gp or nurse for further advice. hope this helps chuck ;-)
