Can you get legal aid for a beauty treatment you are not happy with?

It is for a permanent make up treatment where consent forms were signed. She is a student and says she can get legal aid. The treatment cost 拢300 and she wants 拢800 compensation. Im insured.

But surely people have to take responsiblity within reason for the treatment they are having done and can't just say they don't want it anymore and so need it removed.

If you live in the UK.

This is a civil matter so just because she is a student does not automatically qualify her for legal aid.

If you provided the treatment she asked for as per the contract then she has no claim. She will not be successful if it just a matter of she didn't like the outcome. She would have to show some kind of breach of contract and a loss or damage of some sort. It is the same if she tries to scream negligence. This could prove to be very expensive for her if she loses.

If it's because you messed up in some way- not giving her what was discussed- then I think she has grounds for a lawsuit. If it is what she asked for, and just decided it was a bad decision, then no, she shouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Legal aid is only granted when it is needed eg defence, or claiming if suffering damage through eg negligence. And only if you cant afford to get representation yourself. If you've done nothing wrong then dont worry, 1. if she claims you wont lose and 2. If youve done nothing wrong ie you have no case to answer she wont get legal aid and wouldnt be able to afford to sue anyway!!

Just tell her to do what she has to do. You did what you were ask to do . Legal aid is not for stupid things like this.
Do not talk to her. Tell her to have her lawyer contact you. You will probably never hear from her. She is just trying to scare you.
