Do you think that AIDS positive females should be sterilized as a condition for receiving free treatment?

Sterilization is normally a very personal decision. However, if a woman is AIDS positive and gives birth to a child, then the odds are very high that the child would be AIDS positive.

Is that fair to the child? Is that fair to society and the world that AIDS women continue to reproduce?

I agree. I don't think it would be fair at all if she ever gave birth to a child that the child was born HIV positive just because of the mother. But then, shouldn't HIV positive men get a vasectomy also?

That's a bit too far bro. No man OR woman should be forced into sterilization. It should be a responsibility call for them NOT to be irresponsible by getting pregnant or having unprotected sex!

Actually, if the mother has a c-section, it is unlikely that the child will have AIDS, since the child doesn't share it's mom's blood. Besides, sterilization would not stop them from having sex, which is how the disease spreads.

That doesnt really make much since. What if the woman contracted HIV/AIDS at the time of conception? Why the **** would you choose to sterillize a person that was infected and impregnated at the same time??? And what about the married men out there that spread the disease to their wife or vise versa??? Youre stupid!!!!!!
