ESSIAC? an alternative treatment for CANCER&AIDS?

in 1923 Rene Caisse(nurse in canada) observed woman w/ terminal cancer had made complete recovery, the woman informed Rene that she had recived a herbal remedy from an Ojibway indian, Rene visited said herbalist and he gave her the recipy, She went on to treat many others with cancer & other illnesses
In 1993 Dr. glum took 5 out of 179 terminal AIDS patients(the project he worked on before sent 179 patiens home to die) and administerd essiac @ oz 3 x a day in 94 they were still alive gaining waight and no appearance of illness.

There is a lot of information about essiac available on the internet; Dr Glum is unfortunately not a very valid source. I know of many people who have gotten some benefit from essiac. As always, you should consult your health care provider or at least let them know anything you may be using, herbal or otherwise.

PS: I don't know why a few of you feel compelled to answer when you don't know anything about the topic. That's just strange.

Only through well documented scientific evidence will people who really suffer from cancer be able to tell which treatments work for their type of cancer and which treatments will be ineffective.

I don't necessarily dismiss the claims here , but cancer is a complicated and often fast moving disease and patients can often waste precious treatment time. In order for all patients to benefit by the best treatments possible there must be a national or international means of safely testing all available products.

Be very leery of trusting or wasting time with products that have not been thoroughly investigated and proven clinically effective for your particular type of cancer.

Essiac ? Never heard of it but, there are plenty of people who have miracle remedies for cancer which, only lead people to a premature, certain and painful grave. If this worked, there would have been a horde of pharmaceutical companies that would have swooped like falcons on this Ojibway Indian, made him a multi-millionaire and enriched themselves by marketing this to their greater profit. Do you realize that $ 200 billions have been spent on cancer research with, so far quite meagre results. Do you know that there are tens of thousands of researchers looking into cancer, in about 100 hundred countries at least, all over the world? For heaven's sake, stop fantasising on what you do not know ! Anyway are you a doctor, much less an oncologist ? If not, plkease let people get proper care and do not give them false hopes and mislead them !
