What is the latest news about the Yemeni Muslim who discovered the treatment of AIDS?

In December 2006, it was announced (claimed) that AIDS's cure has been discovered by the Chairman of the Consultative Councilat Yemen鈥檚 Islamist Congregation for Reform (Islah) Sheik Abdul Majid al-Zindani, and the Ministry of Health of Yemen said that the discovery will be presented to WHO for their test and approval. Nothing has been heard ever since!!

There have been a lot of claims of similar nature from different people and countries. This one would make no difference unless and untill we see conrete proof and evidence on grounds. The proof of the puding is on the eating.

I only hope that you are not going to tell us that the medicine is GAT!! I also hope that the discovery has no direct or indirect association with GAT!! That would be a joke of the century!

I neither believe nor disbelieve, but welcome the news with great caution and "suspicion". Gat is known to lead into hellucination.

The WHO was supposed to do a check on the treatment, and had approached the Yemen government about this. That was in Dec. 2006 .

I have no idea wts the situation now. Nothing about it in WHO website.
