What is the work like? What is the course of treatment? What is the counseling like after they find out about it? What other things do they do? Working with people that are HIV positive can be a little depressing and draining at times..I suggest that you seek professional help yourself after working for a long period of time with people that are positive. I use to work at an organization here in dc and they suggested all of the counselors seek outside therapy. After a person finds out their results were sero-positive, all you can do is console the person the best you know how. |
