I feel homesick!?

I just moved to australia, and I already miss home. I do have a few friends, but I miss the states, and I do miss my old friends
The reason we moved her was because there is a hospital here in my town that does treatment to the AIDS i got.
This is my permanent home! HOW can i get used to the place, where everyone says "mate" and "ello"???

Sorry to hear about all your troubles. Its never easy to move away from the place you knew so well. However, if this is going to be your home now you need to make the most of it.

Go hang out with the friends you have. Explore the area, you might find some really cool things down there. Become open minded, things are hard to get use to, but once you realize the area is not so bad, you'll start to fall in love with the new home.

Its not easy moving to a new place and it takes time to adjust. Just try to make the best of it and you can always visit your friends on vacations and stuff. It will get better and you will get used to the way the people talk over there. Give it time and you will see.

I feel the same way. i just moved 3000 miles away from my old home and my dad is back there! My parents are divorced! I jst learn to cope with it. I'll stay up some nights just balling! You'll eventually learn to cope! Just talk to your new friends like they were your old friends. I hope everything works out! XOXO

matti u'll always hav me hear to talk to. u can still email me. moving that far away from home is depressing but u'll make new friends n then u'll hav friends at ur old home n in ur new home. u can email ur friends ever so often to talk to them n u can call them if u like.

Make new friends... it's always nice to have many friends, and while your making new ones do keep in touch with the old ones so you'd adjust slowly. Good Luck
