My sister is in love with the needle i need help!? |
My sister who is 25 years old has been using heroin for about 3 years now and she says that she is now ready to make some changes in her life. My family and i have been looking into treatment centers for her but she has no insurance and and we just don't know how we are going to come up with the money. Now i'm not asking for anyone to feel bad for me but what i am asking is if there is anyone that as been threw this and knows were there are maybe some non-profit centers or somewhere that i can go to get her some help. She does not qualifies for any state aid and we just don't know where else to go look. Please if you have anything may help let us know we don't think it will be much longer before she dies if she doesn't get some kind of help. I would call your local United Way office. Ask them if there are any programs they know of in your area. Take her to your nearest Methadone clinic. It is entirely FREE of charge. People who are on heroin/meth, etc. have to be weaned off of it and are required to visit a methadone clinic weekly to monthly for medication for treatment. This is your best option. Narcotis Anonymous I live in Australia so I'm afraid I can't help much....but I just wanted to say that my older sister also has a problem with drugs & needles and it is very hard to deal with.....My sister has a child so I do hope that your sister doesn't...(not fair on the kids).....Anyhow, I'm thinking of you & Best wishes for the future...Tough Love is the only way.....its very hard, but you need to be strong & tell her how you feel no matter how harsh it is... Talk to the people at the treatment center. They probably know where she can find help paying for it. They will be willing to help with any info you need. I'm really not sure, but you might want to call Loveline. try going to a&e.com and see if you can apply for the show intervention.....they pay for everything it would be much easier to find one if you say in what state of the us (or where in the world) are you in good luck. Just take her to rehab and make payments...for any of the things she needs I can relate to your problem, my sister smokes regular ciggs but it bothers me so much, it's all so bad for you. Try sitting down and talking to your sister, one on one, and explain that it bothers you, and that you want her to be around for a long time, because you love her and she's special to you. If that doesn't work the only other way you can help is to have an intervetion, if your parents don't know, you should tell them, because it's a pretty serious matter, and get some of her friends and relatives to come over all at once and talk to her.get them to explain that she's special, and it's bothering all of them. It'll touch her, and hopefully help. youre sister should be in love with a person not a needle. i dont know what your talking about. i didnt even read it lol your sis is the one that needs help not u lol |
