Advice regarding transgender hormones from somebody qualified, or somebody who has gone through this, please?

My partner is transgender ftm and we have been looking into purchasing Sustanon 250. I know that it is advised that all people wishing to transition should go through proper analysis by psycho analysts, psychiatrists, doctors etc., but my partner is going to go through with this. We would simply like any advice that can be given to aid him?
We understand how injections should be taken correctly, etc., and we are student health professionals ourselves, so we've looked into it very, very thoroughly. How often it should be taken, side effects, etc.
Have you ever known anybody that has done this themselves? My partner is currently making appointments with GPs and physicians so that his progress can be monitored safely.
He's not looking to begin treatment for another couple of months.
He is already living his life fully as male, and has been doing so for about a year. He changed his name a while back, etc., and notified banks and other establishments.

Many Thanks,
Sam.

Yeah we're in the UK.

You need to do this under the care of a doctor who checks your liver and watches your hormone levels to make sure they are balanced and you are healthy. A friend of mine takes 250mg per 2 weeks.

Hormones should be monitored by a doctor, especially testosterone. You don't say what kind of health professionals you are. Are you trained in doing injections correctly? If he's already started the process of finding a doctor what's the hurry? If he's already living as a guy it'll be a no brainer for any therapist he sees. Unless you live in the UK where the system can be very, very, very slow.

All i can say is that she must have thought she was David Kessler in An American Werewolf as she grew a dick, a beard, lost her breasts and started talking like a tuba.

Be careful with the hormones.
Call the local gay center or PFLAG-- they have contacts for trans people or an org nearest you. My best to your and your partner. I hope everything goes well. HUGS!
