IF the government were withholding an AIDS cure or vaccine, which entities would be involved? |
Let's just say, hypothetically speaking, that the government was withholding an AIDS cure or vaccine in order to continue profiting off of expensive treatments being used by the victims (give them the cure, then bye bye expensive treatments and bye bye millions of dollars; sure they could make the cure expensive but it wouldn't become a repeat consumerable product as the treatments have). The "finally for the first time in the history of government we managed to keep a secret committee" entity would be the one to look at. I dont believe the government would hold such a crue but the pharmaceutical companies is a whole other thing. The pharmacy companys would be the ones to lose the money becuase the are the ones who produce the drugs. If anything i think the government would benefit from any kind of cure for major disease because the fact that a large issue and part of the budget is for healt care. The govnt would be paying less on medication and treatment from those who couldnt afford it for themselves. The pharmaceutical companies. It is actually close to impossible to develop an AIDs vaccine. Every trial has failed. For that to happen, the pharmaceutical company would have to lie in all their trials about it not working. Pharma wants their trial medications to be successful. It is expensive to test out medications. There is great potential to make money if successful. |
