The public through our elected representatives must demand that they are available to all, as the polio vaccine, and small pox etc were made available.

I doubt that would happen in that time frame. Too much money at stake.
As for the poor and misbegotten having access to this vaccine? On a small scale perhaps. I know this sounds very cynical but judging from the history of both the pharmaceutical companies and the empathy shown for the victims of AIDs I would have to say that there is very little chance of hope in this pandemic. The only way I can see of beating this thing back into oblivion is to educate the global population. That is a task too great to follow through on, it is a hard task because we are dealing with human beings here and we creatures of mankind are a very selfish lot when it comes to our own personal pleasures.

Well I for one will not be running down there to get one .No I think I would just do what I have been doing for all of my life .Not having sex with anyone other then my own husband .Now don't get your panties in a knot I know that sex isn't the only way that you can get HIV but I will still take my chances.Im in the medical field and I have to tell you the average person doesn't know how many of these "so called prevention meds or Immunizations have come to the market and then get pulled because of risk.I say no thinks I just keep doing what Im doing.Then maybe 10-15 yrs later if it proves itself then maybe.But I'll not be the guinea pig.

Who would want one? People have contracted Polio from vaccines in the past. They use a weakend version of the virus so that the body will build up antibodies against it. Not only that, but HIV tests would come out positive for anyone who has had the vaccine.

The US taxpayers will be forced to pay for the entire world to be vaccinated if this really happens.
