If science were to treat most cancers as stemming from viruses/bacterias wouldn't...? |
there be cures for most of them already?! I'm including these links; hope they work right. statistical significance ,lung cancer and smoking, not all viruses or bacteria are associated ,before any long standing inflammtion was considered carcinogenic ,but look at immune diseases,no relation ,they direct according to exposure and disease,, Clinical researchers ARE looking at the connection between cancer and infectious disease. However, this is only going to be helpful in the realm of prevention - prevent the disease, prevent the cancer that can potentially arise from it. If you already have cervical cancer, for instance, it has become a totally separate entity from HPV and Gardasil (or any other agent for treating a virus) is no longer effective. While it is known that certain viruses and bacterias cause cancer what isn't known is what triggers the cause. So you can have a virus (harmless) but exposure to aluminum could mutate it into a cancer causing virus. Could be that this and other metal exposure combined with a virus cause cancer. New science is finding links never thought of before; explaining why some people get cancer and others don't. This theory has been around for a while, and while it's interesting, it really hasn't been proven. All cancers are caused by chronic irritation and tissue regeneration, such as smoke and/or asbestos (lung), radiation, poor diet (colon) AND certain viruses. I don't think viruses cause all cancers. |
