If AIDS can incubate for decades, how were the first NYC reported cases...?

so quickly blamed on homosexuality. I clearly recall the first known findings of the full blown disease by doctors in homosexual men in New York back in the very early 1980's. Moreover yet, why did those men died so quickly and such painful deaths. Some were very young and could not have had this virus for decades. Period.

Now that the whole AIDS issue has been revived by what the Haitian community takes it as false accusations, for those interested in science and news, it brings a lot of questions.

A Haitian man brought it into the USA (probably into Miami) from a trip to Africa in 1969. PLEASE!!! Being it the 1960's, when monogamy was already becoming a thing of the past, even if he was monogamous, what of his partner once this man died? This person_still monogamous_would have infected another person him or herself! What happened when a third person infected more than one person at a time?

What triggered virus to become so violent and quick moving? Science owes much

explaining, especially to the Haitian community!

In the past I have read other scientists' far-fetched ideas. I have posted them in previous questions. And if time permits, I will look them up online after all these years, so I can post a link.

We have to also remember that according to other "scientific" discoveries, pigs had this disease back in the beginning of the 20th century! It was also traced to other animals in other decades.

I believe that science, just like in the cancer disease is completely at a loss as to what causes it. W/ cancer a more plausible explanation, which is only now being "discovered" is that a gene may be the cause in most if not all cancers. But still cancer is being blamed on everything, from foods to deodorants, to electricity!

Tara J you're completely stupid!

According to "And the Band Played On" and other sources, the virus has been around since the late 1950s, not 1969. This was verified by checking blood draws from men involved with a large hepatitis study at that time.

The first cases were associated with gay men since the patients had Kaposi's sarcoma, and were health-conscious enough to go to their doctors. It was the spike in such a rare disease among dermatologists that first caused the CDC and others to pay attention.

You are mistaken. The first AIDS cases were in Africa in heterosexuals.
