Is it true about AIDS???

I read somewere that almost all AIDS infected Americans contracted the virus from sharing needles (using drugs) and not from sex. Is this true????

But overall, some form of sex is still the most common cause.

Not true ... you can also get it from sex! You can get it if they spit in your face and it gwets in your eyes, as the eyes absorb fluids too!

No statistics claim that although needle sharing does contribute not only to aids but to hep c as well, sex is still another way in which the virus is being shared. This is especially true with the younger generations who were not scared by the original onslaught and have become careless in sexual encounters.

No. Call the heath department for your information. Or the library. Not someone who wants to have sex without a condom. In fact, there are many who have HIV but do not know it because they got it thorugh sexual contact.

No, AIDs is contracted from a lot of sources combined. You might have a better chance of getting it from sharing a needle but there are a lot of people that have gotten it from receiving blood, sexual relations, needles, or working around blood. I wouldn't bet on that statistic.

Before AIDS first became an epidemic, I think your right on the fact it was shared needles. But once it spread to sexual contact and newborns it became an epidemic with blood transfusions and professions where blood came into contact with uninfected people, such as law enforcement and paramedics, doctors and dentists. You no longer have to sleep with or be an addict to have AIDS or HIV

No, it varies from state to state: Needles, homosexuality (simply because homosexuals have historically had anywhere from 1 to 30 encounters per day (yeah, amazing. San Francisco area... Most physicians will say to any couple thinking of sex, to use physical barrier (condom) to be perfectly safe. If they wish an exclusive long term relationship, each should be tested, then tested again in six months. If both are found free, chemical bc methods can then be used. Sorry, AIDS is still very much alive in the heterosexual community
