Huckabee stands by '92 view on AIDS isolation?

WASHINGTON (AP) 鈥?U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said Sunday he will not run from his statement 15 years ago that AIDS patients should have been isolated.
Huckabee acknowledged the prevailing scientific view then, and since, that the virus that causes AIDS is not spread through casual contact, but he said that was not certain. He cited revelations in 1991 that a dentist had infected a patient in an extraordinary case that highlighted the risk of infection through contact with blood or bodily fluids.

"I still believe this today," he said in a broadcast interview, that "we were acting more out of political correctness" in responding to the AIDS crisis. "I don't run from it, I don't recant it," he said of his position in 1992.

He makes alot of mistakes like that and never runs or recants, because he doesn't think he did anything wrong. Jesus (to him) was the reason he did all these things in his past....and therefore it was right. We can expect more of these "Jesus" inspired errors in our future as well with this guy.

(His poor positions giving amnesty and benefits to illegal aliens, to why he pardoned more than 1000 guilty criminals, declared guilty in our court system, to why he endorsed the parole of a obviously sick individual, who goes on to rape and murder, who would not have been able to do so apart from Huckabee,....its all because of Jesus to this guy, and he will tell you that every chance he gets).

NO....he said during that time he did due to lack of knowledge about the disease since learning the facts his view changed. He DID say that he would like to see more monies put into research to find a cure.

That is the most rediculous thing I have heard.
Huckabee has stated time and again that he knows he messes up. On the jesus question in the last televised debate he said that he screws up regularly, so there was your first lie.

Your second lie was about giving amnesty and benefits to illegal aliens. He did NOT give amnesty to illegal aliens. That has been proven time and again. AND he granted the same rights that citizens have to CHILDREN of illegal immigrants as long as they 1. Were academically excellent, and 2. Were applying/have applied for citizenship.

Thirdly, no one could have predicted that Dumond was going to murder the girl. The original sentance handed down was cruel and unusual punishment compared to what other rapists received as a sentence. Furthermore, he had a perfect record of cooperation and good behavior in jail.

While you continue to spew hate towards a pastor, you call yourself a christian. Now I will be the first to admit that I don't agree with my pastor a ton. But I refuse to tear down someone who has devoted their life and service for Christ.
I am a christian and I know that as brothers and sisters in christ we are suppose to love them and not tear them down, but rather point out faults. You, however, have taken the approach of being holier than thou and I think it is terrible.

It's ok if you don't support him, but don't spread lies. We are called to be better than that.
