Can hepatitisc later become aids?

I have recently found out that i have hep c after donating blood, Im assuming I came in contact with while getting tattoos. I was searching through previous questions and one person warned another of the virus and AIDS are the two related in any form. My first doc visit tomorrow and Im kinda nervous seeing I dont have alot of answers yet

No, No and NO! The only similarity is they both begin with 'V' for Virus! They are two totally separate virus and cannot merge into one. It is understandable that you might be concerned if you know nothing about Hep C and so I urge you to check out some sites on the web, read up and prepare your questions for your doctor.Go back and read again after your appointment because most of us get 'white coat syndrome' and perhaps only hear half of what the Dr is saying and don't really understand the rest. Hep and HIV are TOTALLY different. HIV being the one that can lead to an AIDS diagnosis in the future.

Simply put...with all things being equal. "NO." It is, however; thruthful that the portion of the population that has hep C is larger when they are also HIV positive, but each disease is a different virus and a person would have to be exposed to BOTH in order to contract both.

hepatitis and AIDS are two distinctively different diseases.Hep C cannot turn into Aids.
However in the future make sure the tattoo needle is clean and sterilized or you can get AIDS from a tat needle

AIDS is caused by the HIV virus. Hepatitis C is caused by the Hepatitis C virus (HCV). They are distinctly different. One won't turn into the other, but it is possible to be exposed to both and have both at the same time.
