Im so afraid about aids that i need to know how long the virus lasts on a infested syringe even if frozen.?

HIV which can lead to AIDS is a pathonogeic microorganism present in human blood. once HIV infected blood dries, it will not survive....you probably dont need to worry about this one.

why do you have a frozen syringe? sounds like you r lookikg for trouble.

The virus lives for a very short time outside of the body, the seringe would have to have come straight out of an infected person straight into you. It sounds like you are a low risk however for your own peace of mind get tested asap!

The aids virus can only live minutes at most outside the body. Freezing it definitely kills it.
If you are sharing needles you should use dilute bleach between and leave it for a full minute.

I read in a health book (by Balch I believe) that recent studies have shown that the virus can survive (inactivated) outside a body (for up to *three days*!!) and then once it enters the body, it becomes activated again.

I don't know what the *heck* you're using that needle for...but whatever they're for, PLEASE get brand new needles every time, okay? It's SO much better to be on the safe side (when it comes to intravaneous infections), because I'm not kidding, that disease is the most torturous, terrible disease that results in a slow and painful death.
