Can wet kiss transmit a virus that causes aids?

Can wet kiss transmit a virus that causes aids?

no

I don't know what you are asking?

Technically yes, but you need an awful lot of saliva to transmit HIV through kissing (open sores in the mouth make it slightly, but not significantly more likely). Even having sex with an HIV infected person has a 1 in 500 chance of contracting the disease.

It's possible, but unlikely.

It is very unlikely. The stigma sorounding aids would have you believe otherwise. The virus can only be passed on (as far as i know) through the bloodstream. So to contract aids or hiv you would both have to have an open cut in your mouth.

Virus particles can be detected in very low levels in saliva, yet there are no recorded cases of HIV transmission through mouth-to-mouth kissing.

I don't think so...

HIV is the virus form of aids.Aids can only spread threw blood. That means sex, needles and where blood comes in contact with infected blood.

No

Saliva can transmit Hiv, so yes. But it's an exceedingly low chance and you'd need a lot of saliva. But be careful anyway!!!

You probably have glandular fever.

You would need to pass about 1/2 a pint of saliva to transmit the infection. I believe blood is a lower amount.

No. Only blood transports AIDS virus.

depends on what you are kissing.....................

YES!!!---According to the Center of Disease control!!!

Here is their information:

>>>> prolonged open-mouth kissing could damage the mouth or lips and allow HIV to pass from an infected person to a partner and then enter the body through cuts or sores in the mouth. Because of this possible risk, the CDC recommends against open-mouth kissing with an infected partner<<<<<<

It's on their website, here is the link:
http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/qa/qa17...

The HIV virus (Human Immune Deficiency Virus) can be transmitted that way, but only if there are open sores on someones gums or inside a person's mouth., which would give good access for the virus entering the blood stream. medium risk only.
when there are 5 or more other opportunistic diseases
diagnosed, the person is then classed as having AIDS. ( Acquired Immune Dificiency Syndrome)
As long as oral hygiene is observed wet kissing should be of little risk.

ner61 was saying the truth. his answer is the best

No, AIDs can only occur when a person has HIV. HIV cannot be contracted through kissing. It can be caught through unprotected sex and sharing needles with someone else who has the virus.

no it cant babe
