I've heard that "Celebrities" want to send money to fight the Aids Virus in Africa.?

Yet they're not willing to support to free Iraq. Double standard? What do you think?

I think they're completely separate issues.

Celebrities should donate money to fight aids in the usa.. they donate to other countires to help their celebrity ystatus and to gain attention for themselves.

is there a cure for aids i dont know but im fed up of supporting them. they dont want to live on hand outs yea my ***. they really dont want to help themselves. "stop having sex" they have been told it will spread the virus yet they still do it or just wear a condom if they insist at least help yourselfs out a bit. and as for walking 12 miles every day for there water commen sence would tell me walk 12 miles once and live where the water is. i dont think anyone should fund them anything.

If you haven't notice by now, it's all a gimmick. Celebrities don't give a crap about anyone except themselves. They will say anything to make themselves look good.

A double standard is not a question in this case.

The issue of helping the orphaned children in Africa is a preventative measure. If we do not care for these children, what do you think is going to happen to them when they reach adulthood? What kind of adults with what kind of thoughts and angers will be the result of the world's blind eye?
We are dealing with an entire generation of children raised by either grandparents(having to raise all their grandchildren on meagre resources) or by older siblings.
It is a tragedy of monumental scope. The implications to society are not understood but certainly will be tragic and no doubt as our global village shrinks, their problem becomes our problem.
We need to act now.
Agree or disagree with the war in Iraq, the fact remains that these children need our help, NOW!
Never mind the Celebrities, we each have the power to help...
