They seem to be going out of their way to defend the possibility to also defend Obama and his racist pastor. Also dont try to compare it to Tuskegee as that experiment was in 1932 and Syphilis was not a designed disease.

If people will remember, when aids first was heard about in the U.S. it was found first in the gay community. It was even known as the gay desease for a while. And some people were just as crazy back then, because they were saying that God created it to get rid of the gay people. Check it out to you who don't believe me. Then others started getting it. One of the first of the children who got it was a little white boy named Adam. Now that it is more prevalent in the black community, some of them are blaming it on the government. Are you really so naive as to think that the government would take the long way around it to commit genocide for the black people?

I seriously do not think the vast majority of Obama supporters believe that. But a number of people in the black community do believe some conspiracy theories about AIDS.

If you are truly baffled at the relevance of the Tuskegee Experiment - -which lasted until the 1970s - -as to why some black people might be suspicious of government and medical authorities on the subject of disease, then I am afraid it may be hard to explain it to you.

If you honestly want to understand, then there IS value in looking at what has happened before- - the more you know about our history, the better you will be able to understand where other people are coming from and their ideas and their anger and fear that seem so strange to you.

You must not know much about the Tuskegee Experiment if you think if was just in 1932. It went on 4 decades and was a 40 year "PUBLIC HEALTH" project . No, syphillis was not a designed disease. But black men who had the disease were lied to by DOCTORS about what they had and their disease was not treated so that its progression could be studied and then their bodies could be examined when they died of it. Meanwhile wives girlfriends and children they fathered were being infected.

Tuskegee is notorious because it went on so long - people were cruelly lied to and denied treatment for so many years. but if you don't want to hear about Tuskegee, there are many other examples. I have personally heard older black women tell that they were sterilized by white doctors when they went to the hospital for another surgery. This was not uncommon in the South in the 20th century, well within the lifetime of people alive today. Civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer called it her "Mississippi appendectomy".

If you want a more recent example, what about the 1992 Columbia University study looking for a genetic link to violent behavior.. They only studied young black boys from poor families in NYC . The parents were lied to and told their kids were just going to be have some tests - -instead they were given high and risky doses of the drug that was in Fen-Phen.
