How come Islam which allows polygamy had no STD/AIDS epidemic? How did AIDS virus get passed from an ape?Peace? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDS_origin I believe, someone went monkey hunting and ate some raw meat. where is the proof? so your saying muslins cant get aids? i never met anyone with aids AIDS come from if you in contact relationship with person having AIDS. Either you are couple or person having two wives stay within their circle how they will get AIDS, never. In a country in Africa (I'm sorry i can't remember which one - Maybe Congo or the republic of Congo). Men use to hunt monkeys. The blood from an open wound on a monkey getting into contact with the open wound of the hunter was how it transferred. That might of happened many times in history but they say the virus was only transmitted that one time (or a very small number of times) to lead to AIDS/HIV in humans. As much I'd love to believe that cos I'm a muslim, I'm afraid that is far from the truth. Muslims like any other person can contact AIDS in the usual means. Polygamy in Islam is for the protection of women who lost their husbands in battlefield or for orphans. If you read carefully the Quran you even get the idea that the polygamy is not possible after all. For the number of less AIDS epidemic records in Islamic community: it could be bc in islam sex outside marriage is not allowed. |
