quarantened in south congo, but the news are banned from taping over there by punishment of hanging. Sounds really scary but anyone else heard of that by a traveler who was sorta in Congo and has called a friend there in south congo?

You are talking about Ebola. It's a relatively small outbreak, in an area that has had them before.

HIV/AIDS is a blood borne disease. You cannot get it from the air, or casual contact, like hugging or touching. You can get it from sex, sharing needles with an infected person, or if their open, bleeding wound bleeds into your open, bleeding wound.

The quarantine is for ebola, and it's in a limited area. It's not AIDS and it's not airborn. It's two townships, and 5 confirmed cases.
