If a hypodermic needle can transmit Aids virus why cant a mosquito bite? |
If a hypodermic needle can transmit Aids virus why cant a mosquito bite? HIV is a very weak virus that has to stay in blood or any cell and nutrition rich humid area so dry surfaces cannot possibly transmit HIV , about the mosquito the outer surface of its needle is dry and it also cleans it by stroking it with its legs which has some sorta acid that kills the virus and talking about the interior of the mosquito's needle it sucks the fluid from our body it does not add fluid to it so no fluid leakage out of the mosquito's needle is possible so HIV transmit ion is not possible this way Its HIV, not Aids and the reason is mosquitoes dont squirt someone elses blodd into you, they suck it. Air kills HIV and so does stomach acid, assuming mosquitoes have stomaches. Heidi The possibilities are in place that they really can. However to avoid wide spread panic you will never see anything to that effect. spreads thru blood. Needles can carry it, the muscuito filament (used for the bite) can't carry that blood! a mosquitoe sucks the blood to feed itself, thus the substance is 'digested' and purged, whereas a needle just sits there doing nothing ... they don't put the blood bak in u but they can give u other diseases like encephalitis, Ross River virus and dengue fever |
