Does AIDS virus die wen come in contact wid air???? The HIV virus is capable of living outside the human body for only a few hours at most. The infectious virus does not survive well and can not reproduce outside of a host. The only way it can reproduce outside of a host is in special laboratory conditions and even then it does not flourish well. There has never been anyone diagnosed with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface. It can not move on its own so it will be confined to where the droplets landed. It can only enter the body through open contact such as open wounds, vagina walls, inside of penis, etc. HIV is relatively easy to kill though once outside of the body, but will usually die on its own. There are spray cleaners chemically developed (probably based on bleach). Bleach is the main chemical used in the killing of HIV. The HIV virus is spread by direct contact with the virus. It can be a blood to blood contact, genital contact, (generally not oral but possible). It does not spread by coughing or sneezing. If it did it would be as common as a cold. Even a "spill' contact ie blood on sheets, vomit, diarrhea have to be contacted with broken skin. Thus all the medical personel wear gloves for 'universal precautions." no |
