What is the life span of the AIDS virus outside the human body? |
I'm a bit confused because some pple say that a few seconds some say it has none then how come a person can contract the virus when sharing needles, razors etc?serious answers please It is a fragile virus, meaning simple cleaners will kill it...it cannot survive long outside the body (unlike Hep. B which can live on surfaces for up to 2 weeks...get vaccinated).......the issue is that it may live a few minutes, or an hour.....but how can you be sure with each bit of human blood? So the razor, needle risk isn't worth it. Approximately 60 seconds.Air kills aids.Unless it is a wet surface, then I would recommend bleach. The reason it can be passed via a needle is that once it is in the plunger there is no air.It remains inside the needle with no air therefore it is still a live virus. Very interested to know too. The Aids virus is killed within a few minutes after coming into contact with air. A wet surface then a maybe a bit longer. |
