Why is obama so out of touch?

with white voters? I'm white and his campaign tactic of calling me a bitter person that clings to guns and religion didn't sit well with me. Nor did his preacher's view that white people created the AIDS virus to kill off black people. Does he think that these issues are going to win him white votes? Why doesn't he understand white people? He is labled as a black man and never even mentions his white family unless it is to call them racist and "typical white people". He doesn't know anything about issues that affect white people. He doesn't understand us, and I won't vote for him.

He isn't. You decided a long time ago that you didn't like him, and you look for excuses to justify it.

He didn't call white voters, in general, bitter people that cling to guns and religion. He talked about how his message of change probably doesn't resonate with people who have had so many broken promises made to them (primarily in smaller, former industrial towns), that they don't feel they can make a decision based on believing those promises, so they have to turn to things that are familiar to them, having no alternative.

But hey, feel free to swallow the opposition spin instead of actually reading the ENTIRE passage of his answer, including the question he was addressing.

His preacher's view? Obama has said constantly and repeatedly that those are not his views, so what does it matter if his preacher thinks this? I think his preacher is full of crap, but given the history of the Tuskegee experiements (the government allowed black men with syphillis to go untreated so they could observe the affects of the disease on the body. This was from the 1930s and was continued up until the 1970s, when Wright was a young adult.), I can understand where his paranoia might come from.

He understands white people quite well, including those who are clouded by racial side-issues, as you seem to be.

Ok then don't vote for him, but if you want to understand what he meant by that clinging to guns and religion comment then you can read "whats the matter with kansas" by thomas frank.

I'm betting though that you don't really want to understand it, you pride yourself in your distorted interpretation of the comment and just wish to use it as a chance to slander him.

I think you need to change the station and listen to a factual news station that doesn't mimic the ridiculous statements of the Clinton Garbage campaign.. Obviously you haven't listened at all to Obama as everything you just said he never said or atleast never said with the interpretation placed on it by the Hillary Campaign.
