Is Rev. Wright exploiting the fact that 27% of African Americans believe the US gov't "created AIDS" ?

After his speech today at the National Press Club, Jeremiah Wright was asked by the moderator whether he honestly believes, as he said in one of his sermons, that 鈥渢he government lied about inventing the AIDS virus as a means of genocide against people of color.鈥?

Wright鈥檚 allegation about AIDS has no factual basis, of course, but medical experimentation on black Americans is well-documented. Wright today cited the Tuskegee experiment鈥攁 syphilis study in which the U.S. Public Health Service failed to treat 400 syphilitic black men in Alabama for 40 years鈥攁s an example. From there, he leapt to the conclusion that 鈥渙ur government is capable of doing anything.鈥?br>

I AM SOOO TIRED of these "loud talking, in-your-face" "Black Leaders, Pastors, or whoever" who say things that just...just keep themselves in front of the media's camera - and the media feeds into it too! And they make these RIDCULOUS statements that might lead some people to believe that black people ACTUALLY think like this.
EVERY race has an older generation, whose point of view may be tainted by things that have happened to them in the past that we now call History. But come on now! I know that everybody of ALL races has that old relative that speaks about "how things were different back then..." and all those other stories about "back in the day".
This is TODAY! I am black and I know, just like everyone else I know (I have a very globally diverse group of friends) that has been on earth since the 80s knows that the US did NOT create the HIV virus that leads to AIDS.
Statements like this, I feel, make people look stupid to the outside observer.
Rev. Wright should be renamed Brutus because every time he appears on tv his mouth is open and with each word sends another dagger into the back of Mr. Obama. I am not an official supporter of any candidate at this time, but its a shame that a candidate, with a good memory, who inspired youth to get involved in the political process and register to vote - for any candidate, want to see change (we unfortunately get to find out how he plans to do that from watching television; the media has more important aspects of the campaign to show on the air) can run for the office of the President of the United States in peace --did I mention he also happens to be black.

I suppose wright blames Whitey for the statistics that show nearly 50% of black males over the age of 12 have, or have been exposed to, herpes.

Well, anti-Obama people exploit the fact that 15% of Americans think he is a muslim, continuing to repeat it over and over. Your point?
