Was the US Government behind the creation of the AIDS virus?

Jerimiah wright has expressed his belief that the US Government instigated the AIDS virus. Based on what you think you know and web-based info, such as http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0120,ba... and http://www.rense.com/general16/tim.htm ...what do you think the chances are on a scale from 1 to 100?

Based on the answer here, it shows how easily people absorb information without analyzing it. Instead of dismissing the possibility, why not consider WHY it may very well be true. Have you never heard of DNA weapons, or Bio-Rad? Do you really think the Pentagon would not consider such a weapon and discriminately test it?

That's hard to say. I think the AIDS virus we are dealing with is a synthetic based on a naturally existing virus. I say that given the way it mutates and changes so incredibly fast. Do I think it was deliberately sent into the human population? No. I believe that part was accidental. Who was behind its creation in the first place? Was it the government or some bioweapons contractor looking for the newest thing? Who knows? I doubt we'll ever know the whole truth.

I wouldn't doubt it... I think the people involved in politics and congress are stuck-up crooks.... They have no respect for people that ended up in poverty and therefore, are in the LOWER socio-economic scale. I do believe that they all laugh at AIDS, and think this is the way to control people who don't fit in with their ranks... It is sad and unfair.
People don't have a say in what their sexuality will be... If they are gay, they are gay.
Some people fall victim to drug abuse, and have no resources as a way out.
Prostitutes don't wake up one day and say "hey, I think I am gonna be a prostitute.
It sux, but there is nothing we can really do to stop or control this problem.
People just need to be aware, gain intelligience, and stay away from whatever could infect them.

Considering that the vector for the disease was tracked to a French male flight attendant who couldn't keep his clinton in his pants having relations with a street prostitute in west Africa who ate bush meat....specifically the still warm raw brains of the local green monkey who had been carrying the virus for generations before it made the jump to a human variant...
