What exactly did the Rev. Wright say about aids?

Now I heard that AIDS was (man made) way before this election. So the Rev. is echoing what is out there, & some of whats out there has come from S. Africa. I saw a little interview with white S. Africans talking about reaserch into bio-viruses that would only effect blacks. This was before Apartied when whites were losing their grip on S.A. Now no proof that anthing was developed & plenty of denials, but it was some-what clear they were kicking this ball around. Now lets look at AIDS, it is a smart virus, meaning if your educated and have resources you will be able to avoid contracting it, for the most part. But if your uneducated which is at least 1/2 the worlds population, & 3/4 of the population of Africa, then this virus is going to run ramp-it. (AND IT HAS) I dare say that people who understood the ramafications sat back and did nothing even in our own country. Why, is really simple 150yrs ago 2billion people on the planet, today 6billion, without Aids its going to reach 10(SOONER

he said that he thought it was a possibility that the govt had in the past infected black people with HIV.

He then went on to point out that the govt had infected black men in Alabama with syphillis and NOT treated them so that they could see the long term effects in humans (i.e. dementia leading to death). Basically he was saying that if the govt could do that (and they def. did) then why couldn't they have doen the same with HIV.

If you look at what he said and under the context of historical experimentation on blacks in this country, it doesn't sound quite as bad. It is still factually untrue but if I was a member of a group that had been thought to be disposible and experimented on, then I might be more inclined to believe in conspiracies.

I have no idea what you are saying about Africa/South Africa and AIDs - completely couldn't understand the rant.

He said it was invented to kill the Black man, and yet it runs amuck among homosexuals and needle sharing drug addicts. Am I to infer that he is implying that Black men are more likely to be homosexuals and needle sharing drug addicts or am I to infer maybe he was wrong, and it is a virus that attacks the immune system because it comes from African monkeys vss.

The only problem with AIDS is that whenever a Virus is has lethal as AIDS is detected in a person, they are quarantined. They did not quarantine the AIDS patients because it would have been looked upon has being discriminatory to the gay culture in an era that was all about free love. THAT is the only reason AIDS has never been controlled.

You might be overlooking what he seems in imply. By blaming the US and claiming it is intended to wipe out blacks, he simply does the old "Hate Whitey" schtick. Notice how whitey reacted to it.

He said that AIDS not only was man-made but that the CIA invented it to wipe out the black population. That is a racist and stupid assertion.
