How long does it take for a wound to heal?

I wounded my finger two days ago. The cut was bad but it stopped bleeding after about 10 minutes and it bled again while I was sleeping but only a bit and I had it covered with band aid. It stopped bleeding but the skin is not still completely sealed. Does this mean that viruses and bacteria can still enter to my blood system through this wound or is it sealed by the inside layers of the skin since I am not bleeding anymore?

bacteria can enter any part of your skin if its open and infect the outer layer of skin just put some neosporin on it and keep it covered just remember bacteria likes dark moist places so let it air out every now and then till its completely healed!

if you have a cut and you want it to heal in the shortest amount of time, but a band-aid/bandage on the wound/cut/scrape along with Neosporin and leave it on there the whole time, never take it off. Leave it on in the shower, in the bed, at work, at play, always. Try it. Report It

how long it takes a wound to heal depends on your immune system, your general health, the type of wound that you have and how you care for the wound. in most cases a healthy individuals wound that are small and not too deep should heal within a week or so.....maybe a little longer
