my immune system is very weak. proof of which are the following-
i easily catch infections, viruses, cold etc all round the year. i even get sick when someone near me coughs or sneezes or when am in a crowd. am also allergic to change in climates, air pollutants, soot etc. and get sick immediately. i also suffer GI disturbances. my digestion has become weak. i dont take outside food. i take antibiotics when am ill and thus intake of different antibiotics is very high. i get relief for a while and again ill when i stop medicines. i dont know what to do!!!
of late i changed to homeopathy. since 4 months am under the treatment of a leading homeopath in hyderabad, dr. pavalluri krishna choudhary. he changes homeo medicine once in a month. in this way i have taken four different homeo drugs in 4 months with almost very little or insignificant improvement. my symptoms continue and i take different antibiotics when am very ill.
can anybody suggest an effective homeo remedy for my stubborn ailment and very weak immune system? please detail me. my homeo doctor dosent reveal the names of the medicines he gives. he gives a bottle of pills and asks me to take 6 pills each in the morning and evening daily.
i dont have AIDS, cancer or any other serious illness. The antibiotics you have taken and you only need to take just one pill to destroy 3/4 of your immune system. There are many aspects to the immune system that you need to understand in order to answer your question completely. But, be assured, the medical industry does NOT have the answers to immunity because drugs will only give you "make believe health."
The homeopath you are working with does not sound like he understands immunity.
There are lots of reasons for people getting sick often. Actually, some people never seem to get sick and both situations are a result of an immune problem.
NOT because they are "failing to wash their hands" as one poster said here. If that weren't so pitiful of an explanation, I would be laughing.
Our bodies have three basic immune mechanisms that protect it. In fact, if we did not have these immune system mechanisms, we would be a pile of dust in days.
The first part of the immune system is the body "Nonspecific Resistance/ Barriers" that consist of "mechanical things" like intact skin, muscus membranes, mucus, cilia, saliva, tears, and epiglottis, to name a few. "Chemical barriers" are things like skin, gastric juices (like stomach acid), Lysozyme that is an enzyme that is capable of breaking down cell walls of various bacteria, etc. Also, included in these barriers are expulsion of invaders, like coughing, sneezing, defacating, vomiting, saliva, etc.
When these bodily things are passed up or in many cases, not working well because a person is unhealthy, the next defenses go into action (the internal defenses), the innate and humoral immunity responses.
The innate immunity response is an immediate form of response. It consists of the natural killer cells (lymphocytes), Phagocytes (Granulocytes and Monocytes), Antimicrobial Proteins, Inflammation, Fever, and Macrophages. All these things go to work immediately to protect the body.
The humoral responses are the cellular mediated responses like the T cells and the Antibody mediated response, the B cells.
The goal of the humoral immune response is to rid the body of invaders (antigens) while preparing reserves (antibodies) to protect against future attack. Antigens are any protein-based substances the body views as foreigh, like viruses, bacteria, foods, drugs, pollens, etc. Antibodies are created to bind to and inactivate their target antigens.
The lymphatic system is the primary battleground for the humoral immune responses. If the organs in this system are compromised by a person being in bad health due to weak organs, bad diets, bad life styles, getting vaccinated, exposed to toxins in foods and chemicals from all kinds of sources, leaving the body unhealthy, this contributes heavily to them getting sick because all these systems will not work well.
What typically happens, is a person gets sick and goes to the doctor and instead of striving to make the person healthy by addressing all these underlying immune issues, the doctor gives them a prescription and those drugs damage the body, but make the person's symptoms abate and they feel better, but that does not make the person healthy. It simply gives them, "MAKE BELIEVE HEALTH." So, instead of making them healthy, that unhealthy body loaded with "relief" drugs, is left vulnerable to getting sick again and again.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out what goes on in a doctor's mind when he prescribes drugs to a person that is obviously nutritionally very deficient and who's body has organs that are not working well. It's like trying to fix a flat tire with a nail in it on a car with bubble gum. It may work for a little while, but eventually the gum stops working and the tire goes flat again, all because the original problem was not solved until the nail is removed and the tire is plugged properly.
If you ate nothing but sugar donuts every day for food, what do you think would happen to you. That is an extreme thing, but I use that to prove a point. You would obviously get sick, right? Now on the other extreme, what if you ate everything your body needed everyday, took good care of yourself and lived a healthy lifestyle? You would have a great chance of being healthy, right? So what you have to do is look at all the ways the body's immune system works above, look at what these people eat everyday, and you will have your answer.
Dehydration is the number one deficiency in America today. The average person needs water at the following rate:
Take your total body weight and divide by 2. That number is the amount of water in ounces that you need to drink each and everyday. Along with that, you should consume 1/4 teaspoon of "air dried sea salt" in conjunction with each quart of water you drink. This puts the electrolytes in your body that will give you proper hydration. The typical white table salt you buy in stores like the Morton Salt, for instance, is terrible for you and has loads of chemicals added. Avoid that junk. If you drink ANY diuretic drinks like, sodas, coffee, tea, alcohol, commercially prepared fruit drinks, energy drinks, etc., these all dehydrate you and you will need to add more water to the total to compensate for the water loss due to these diuretic drinks. Take the total ounces of the diuretic drinks and multiply by 1.5 and add that total to the original total to come up with the proper amount of water you need to drink each day.
good luck to you what you have are poor hygiene habits... you constantly infect yourself because you touch your face without washing your hands. Become more aware... wash your hands at least every hour and DO NOT touch your face for any reason without first washing. This will go further in keeping you healthy than any medicine you can take. Did you get measles, chicken pox, mumps etc. when you were of a young age under 2yrs say? Of so your immune system could have weakened. Echinaecia is a homeopathic medicine which boosts your immune system. Its very hard to diagnose the problem considering I dont have blood work or have any idea about your lifestyle (ie diet, stress levels).
If you give me an idea of what you eat and what you do for a living I might be able to give you a couple tips.
Because you have allergies it does seem like one branch of your immune system is working on overdrive but the increased incidence of infections means another branch of it is not. The best way to boost your immune system is to decrease your stress level.
When your stressed, high levels of cortisol levels are released into your blood which shuts down your immune system. The more you worry, the more prone you are in getting sick. That is why lifestyle plays a huge part in immunity.
