Sleeping pill/sedative most commonly used in hospitals/ isolation if virus? |
If a patient is acting erratic, are sedatives or sleeping-aids most likely to be administered, and what is it called? Also, if a patient has a virus or some illness that cannot be clearly diagnosed and may be possibly contagious, would they isolate, as in quarantine, or where? Thank you. What do you mean by erratic? If the patient is creating a disturbance then there is a pretty good chance the doctor will order something like ativan or valium. |
