Am I going to get AIDS if I did this? |
Yesterday in school, my friend had an Ear Piercing Gun and I wanted to try it out. My ear wasn't bleeding at all but it did after I took my earring off. When I came home my mom screamed at me and I got grounded. She was telling me that I'm gonna get AIDS-Viruses-etc. no that was just a mother scare thing only way you woulda got aids is if their was blood ON the ear gun Was the earing you used new or used? If it was new you have nothing to worry about. When you use a gun like that you load it with the starter earings. The gun shoots the earing in your ear. If the earing was used then you can get germs and your ear may get infected... the ONLY way you can get aids from it is if the person that used the earring had aids. Did it have blood on it and how many people used it before you did? You could only get it if someone had aids who used it before you did. However that was a very stupid thing to do because even if you didn't get aids your ear could be infected and that could be dangerous. why did you get it done by a Professional? I'm not sure if you could get aids doing that all i know is you could get aids but sharing needles and sex but i won't be surprised if you could by sharing a ear piercing gun. Ok i work in a hospital so i know. No matter if your bleeding or not your still transmiting their germs into your body. IF they had AIDS HIV or any blood bourne disease there is a high chance that you will get it and it may lay dormant for days weeks months years which means if they have a disease you may catch it and it will pop uo later on so i do recomend getting to a blood lab and doing a rapid HIV and RPR and HEP test to be sure and NEVER ever do that again. no matter if they said they surgically cleaned it. so like i said. get to a lab. like i have to take blood test every month for a year cause i stuck my self with a dirty needle I can see why your mom was angry at you, after all, you could have gotten injured and getting your ears pierced without permission was quiet irresponsible. It takes about 5 days for a virus to come off of a surface. I bet you used it right afterward. Does your friend have AIDS? Or HIV? If so, then you might have a chance. HIV cannot be airborn, but can be orally distributed, sexually transmitted, and if you both attempt to somehow put her blood into your body. If there WAS blood on the needle, then you might have a chance. When I was little, my friend and I were stupid, and wanted to be "blood sisters." We stuck tthe same needle (that was not steralized) on our knees. e then rubbed our knees together, and I did this with another friend, too. I dont have HIV that was 3 years ago. You could ask the doctor to get you checked. i enjoyed answering your question! =D Did you use a new ring, that had been sterilized? If the answer to that is yes then you have nothing to worry about. If the answer is no, Did the person that used it before you have HIV? If the answer to that is yes, then you have a slim possibility of getting the HIV virus, if there were any of their blood cells on the ring. If they dont have HIV then you should be fine. It is possible to catch a virus when you use something like that that does not belong to you. Bu thte only way that you would catch it is if you friend have that virus, or someone else who used it had that virus. But if your in school and young enough to get grounded the chances of your friend having any serious virus is unlikely. its possible if it was used by a infected person. But the good new if you were to get hiv there is a new alternative hiv treatment that has a very high cure rate. you can read more about it below. keep your chin up. It's highly unlikely you will get AIDS from this. The virus does not live that long outside the body. If it wasn't sanitized correctly, you run the risk of catching all kinds of diseases. Chances are, you'll get nothing more than an infected ear. But depending on who has used it before you, you COULD get AIDS....or something else. I don't blame your mom for being upset. You should never, ever let anyone Perice your ears but someone who is Well...does your friend have AIDS? If she does or somebody else who used the gun...There is a possibility. Only if you pricked yourself with the gun and the gun had JUST been used to pierce the ear of somebody who had AIDS. Just make sure the instruments you're playing around with have been sterilized. You won`t definitely get aids but you could get an infection. You made a mistake and shouldn`t have done that but you can`t go back now. I recommend going to a doctor, explaining what happened and maybe getting your blood tested. if anyone before you, used the gun and had aids, then yes you could. but the chances are so slim. how many people used it b4 you did? you are probably fine. I dont think you are. AIDS is an STD. But i think it can be possible in a way. Not sure. Maybe you should go get checked to double check but i dough it. It depends if the gun was steriliser properly, and if it had previously been used on someone with HIV. It's highly unlikely, but possible. You will not get Aids unless someone who used it had Aids. But the piercing might get an infected so use some of the cleaning stuff for your ear you can find at the store. unless the device was used on someone with aids immediately before you used it, no, you aren't going to get aids. If your mother really thought you had AIDS she would have you tested, I doubt you have AIDS, and I disagree with your mothers attitude, telling her child they have AIDS like some hypochondriac. If the needle isn't sterilized properly, then it's possible that you'll get a disease of some sort. It's not definite though. What if they had a real gun, would you want to try it out also? I'm sure they didn't clean it properly, so I agreed with your mom on this. You're nuts. yes, you can can an infection from the previous user of the needle If it had the other person's blood was on it and that person had AIDS or any other virus or disease. If it was cleaned right after it really shouldn't i doubt it, don't worry about it, however i wouldn't do anything like that again! was there anyone elses blood on the gun? because if there was then thats kinda worrying..... Did you sterilize the ear piercing gun befor you used it? that is not going to happen. you just maid her mad. she loves you and probably dos not like you piercing your ears. you get AIDS from transfer of bodarly fluids from sum 1 hu has AIDS you could get AIDS if the people who used it before you were infected. only if they have AIDS |
