How did the Aids Virus form?

I heard it started cuz of gay people i also heard that the goverment made it to kill some of the populuation, i also heard some other ridiculous theories!

We know 100% that HIV-1 appeared when a similar SIV (simian immunodeficiency virus) found in chimpanzees was transferred to humans, probably when hunters butchered chimpanzees and got the infected blood in cuts. HIV-2, a similar but less common virus, was transferred to humans in the same manner from the sooty mangabey monkey.

We are able to determine the source of these viruses by comparison of the genetic sequence of the viral strains. HIV-1 is extremely similar to SIVcpz, the chimpanzee virus, while HIV-2 is extremely similar to SIVsm, the sooty mangabey virus. We have even been able to determine that each of these SIV strains were transferred to humans several times, leading to different HIV subtypes.

there is no answer that we know of that is 100% acurate.. there are only theories... here are the most common:

1. Ape theory- hunters contracted the virus from eating contaminated meat

2. Infected needle theory- doctors reused infected needles in the polio vaccines

3. Gov't- the govt created the virus and it just got out of control


personally- i believe the ape theory is the most legitimate

The true story is long ago, the africans ate monkeys. The monkey was caring the virus. So when the african ate the monkey, he/she got the virus and then had sex with other people and AIDs finally got passed down to us today.

I don't know if this is true but I was told it evolved from men having sex with apes, and the disease mutated into what we have today. I have heard that men still do these things with animals, even in Asia with orangutans that are chained up. Is appalling that this goes on.

Genetic evidence shows clearly that it jumped several times from apes to humans, almost definitely due to the "bush meat" (ape meat) trade, wherein blood from the apes during butchering would get into cuts on the butcher's skin.

HIV does not discriminate. It can affect men or women/straight, gay, bisexual/white, black or asian.

It's a disease from monkeys.
