Threats of terrorism, war, hurricanes, tornados, floods, fires, mudslides, severe thunderstorms?

global warming, ozone depletion, air pollution, gay marriage, abortion, crime, school violence, identity theft, illegal immigration, bird flu, west nile virus, AIDS................................

Is now really a good time to be talking about taking God out of the pledge of allegiance?

Sure, you make a lot of sense, NOT. Soon all of these things will be blamed on the President, he is already being blamed for Katrina.

life is better now than it's been at almost any other point in human history, you think it's bad now? imagine not having a refrigerator or electricity or antibiotics or clean water, plumbing etc

The world as we known it is changing
They have planted the seeds, they are taking root & and the harvest will come. Its over the new world is coming, good or bad its coming. I hate to know this.

People don't seem to realize that a belief in God is central to the very existence of this country. The first official document was the Declaration of Independence. In it, was explained the very reason that America was being established. "All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. Among these are the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It says that man gets these rights directly from the Creator, not from any government. They cannot be removed by any government. Now, who is the Creator if not God?

No God, no unalienable rights. That is a fact.

I dont think that should happen, but why give into living so afraid? Tell me...should we just lock our doors and hide in the basement? Jeez people, come on...go out and live. Don't give into how awful and dangerous it is just to be alive right now. Talk about a defeatest mentality and living in fear..not thanks..im not buying into it.

God has nothing to do with any of this. He may have created this world but it's the 6 billion humans that are causing the chaos. Threats of terrorism and war are a direct result of an argument over who's God is best. You have to ask, "one nation under WHICH God"? The Oil God, the Islamic God, the Conservative Republican God or the Liberal Democratic version.....
I think taking him out of the picture would mean that we have grown up and are willing to take responsibility for our actions and suffer the consequences. We have to fix this stuff, God isn't.
