How did the people in Africa and the U.S. develop AIDS, like how did it come about?

I just want to know because my teacher said someone got bit my a money that carried The virus.

The shortest, best answer there IS for this question is to ask you to see the DVD called "And the Band Played On"........it tells exactly how the HIV was so suddenly spread all over, and what the govt did not do about it. It's a true story, and it is something you will never forget.

I am not sure if they got bit by a monkey.

It is said that a man got bit from a Reece's Monkey while in Africa. Which he of course brought back to the U.S. and transferred sexually. Then it spread to the gay community where condoms were rarely used.

The monkey-human AIDS transmission is one theory, having to do with hunters killing and eating chimps with SIV (similar to HIV), and that zooinosis allowed cross-species transmission.

Another more controversial theory is that somehow polio vaccines were involved in the transmission.

NO. There is no way to catch HIV from a toilet seat. It has never happened, nor is it theoretically likely.
