One reason Buddhism can never be destroyed?

I am a practicing Buddhist so I I say this in a good way. I think of Buddhism as the AIDS virus. Whenever you have found the cure for it, it changes on you and the cure no longer works. Buddhism can call itself Christianity, Islam, and so many other things. Is this the greatest defense of Buddhism?

Buddhisms greatest defense is the fact that the truth can never be destroyed.

It can be ignored, lied about or called derogatory things but it is still the truth.

Well, AIDS sounds so negative, while Buddhism is so positive. But yes, i think this is a good metaphor. Buddhism is also more like a 'way of life' or 'a philosophy' than a real religion. You can be a christian buddhist.

The greatest asset of Buddhism is that it really doesn't bother anybody and it actually places awareness of self and others above any other doctrine or rules you might have.

Buddhism will be around because it is a philosophy which believes that one can find truth and enter nirvana. It will be around as long as there are people who subscribe to the belief that humankind can find truth via own effort.

Right. It won't be destroyed until Armageddon along with all the other many false religions, so, in fact it will be destroyed.

I realize that it will be around until Armageddon puts an end to all false religions and that will be such a welcoming sight.

Many adhere to false religions because it suits their immoral, filthy, headonistic lifestyles and tells the foolish and stupid ones "It's ok for you to conduct yourself in this unclean and immoral manner because this is 'our' religion and we allow it". The thing is, it is not permissable by Jehovah God and ones who participate and love false religions will sadly pay with their lives at Armageddon. They don't want reproof (reproving) but they want to live immorally without being told that what they do goes against true Godly standards. They don't care as long as they can live any kind of way outside of what God's loving and truthful instruction is to them.

Armageddon will be a nice time, but sadly about 90% of the world's population will perish. But hey? If that's what it takes to live on a paradise earth free of sin, sickness, false religions and death, intelligent ones welcome Armageddon.

You say that Buddhism is like the Aids virus, I agree, it will kill you spiritually, Now you try to say that Buddhism can never be destroy, Read Zephaniah 2:11 If you are not afraid to read it. The Lord will be terriable unto them, for HE(God) will famish (or destroy) all the gods(FALSE GODS) of the earth, & men shall worship him(GOD) from his place.

Buddha is a Prophet to the enlightened peoples of the world. On one hand, maybe what you are referring as Buddhism can be Christianity is the UNITY OF THE FAITH where THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is the ONE who breaches the walls of hostility and walls of division among men. Buddha is a prophet and the LORD JESUS CHRIST is also a Prophet but the highest among the Prophets called THE ALFA AND THE OMEGA. In fact, Mohammad the Prophet of Islam when archangel Gabriel in a vision brought him to heaven, he saw the LORD JESUS CHRIST at the right hand of GOD. Everything counts but everything must come into perfection.

Buddhism is a philosophy of loving our nature, From the beginning in other scriptures is said that we can eat from trees, and that the world nature is for our enjoyment.

But isn't the concept of reincarnation as ambiguous as the resurrection?

But at least the resurrection would not make a dog out or you, or a mouse, or a simple bacteria.

So we must undestand that there was traveling around in the past and that knowledge goes mixing from generation to generation and from civilization to civilization. For example:

You do not find vegetarianism, or any respect for blood or animal in other civilizations like the Mayans, African and others.

So I say : Buddhism in the sense of vegetarianism, and of balance of material desires, can never be destroyed.

The thing about Buddhism is the reason for doing it. isn't Buddhism fasting?, isn't meditation prayers, because we do not need the mouth to pray. And for Siddharta Gautama to know that he had achieved enlightenment (only at an individual level) somebody had to let him know, something bigger than his own conviction, otherwise we can say to ourselves we all have nirvana.

But then again what is nirvana has to be defined not by us but by something or somebody who has more power than us and that would be a god to you. So the nirvana is clarified in the life of Christ and in the resurrection of man as a man.

Its far more important that Buddhism is here now than whether it will be destroyed in the future.
