Is Bayer Pharm even an American Company?

I know you've probably seen the clips about the Bayer scandal involving a drug that was infected with the AIDS virus and knowingly marketed in countries outside of the USA....People are calling it another example of American Greed, but I don't think that Bayer is an American company....is it?

Bayer is a German company, but they have a American subsidiary, Bayer USA.

"Bayer" literally means "Bavarian." It's a German corporation. The comany characterizes its organization this way on its website: "The subgroups and service companies operate independently under the leadership of the management holding company Bayer AG."
