Did anyone hear the rants Obama's long-time pastor?

went on?? I absolutely couldn't believe my ears. One thing he said (to a huge church full of people) was that the government invented the AIDS virus to kill black people.

He kept saying GD America over and over, among some other unbelievable things

(and yeah it belongs in R & S, he's a pastor)

It was very disturbing. No, the pastor is not running for president but we have a presidential candidate who sat under that 'teaching' for 20 years, one must wonder how much he really disagrees with it...........

I haven't heard it for myself yet, but I have heard it reported... and that is disgraceful if it's true.

No he is not a pastor because a man of God would not speak like that,,he needs to resign and let someone who is called of God to stand in his place.

It is sad that most of the media and politicos have a double standard when it comes to religious affiliations of Presidential candidates. I couldn't believe that Anderson Cooper last night apologized for the media scrutiny at Obama's minister, yet earlier in the primary season, Cooper kept making reference to Mitt Romney's affiliation w/ the Mormons. IF we are to hold one candidate to such scrutiny, then all must face the same scrutiny, otherwise it shows bias and editorial imbalance.

Also, some may say Rev Wright's statements have no bearing on Obama. I say it has alot to do w/ what the man holds close to his heart, and questions his motivations for staying with such ministry.

To be fair - would the media try to downplay this if Obama were white and the minister was instead a grand wizard of the KKK?

Sad times ahead.
