Did anyone hear about this disturbing story out of Kenya?

A 14 year boy that was ravaged by AIDS, was hacked to death by his uncle. People in his family, and in his village feel indifferent to the crime, and feel that the uncle's actions were a blessing. Defiantly family members have snuck food to the uncle in the jungle. People were so afraid of the AIDS virus that they wouldn't touch the severely injured boy. By the time people came to carry him some place, he was in a coma.

I don't know what this says about humanity, but I don't know doesn't everybody deserve a chance, or are we just a bunch of savages?

Sounds to me like the people in the story are not very knowledgeable in the area of AIDS.

It doesn't justify it but AIDS is a real epidemic in Africa. Large numbers of people have it and they are terrify of getting it and don't have enoug education on the disease.
