I have bronchitis/Pneumonia?

i went to docotr.... he said i have broncchitis i think i have pneumonia he have me zitromax (anti biotique) now...... could this turn in to AIds/HIV? something like this thankx

i thought that because on some med website i saw that pneumonia...can be sing of aids or something thats why i asked... also i never had sex or anything... the reason why i said that because, in my body conditioning class i think some kid had aids or something i thought that i might just got it frm him

First of all, zithromax and similar medications are the first line treatments for both bronchitis AND pneumonia. Bronchitis rarely turns into pneumonia but it does happen. In a young, healthy person, this is not a big deal. You probably do not have pneumonia. A doctor would have picked this up when he listened to your chest with his stethoscope when you came in for an examination. And, even if you did, the treatment would be the same.

AIDS/HIV is a completely different disease. However. People who already have AIDS have immune systems that don't work. They are extremely vulnerable to infections. Do you have reason to think you are HIV+? If so, it is extremely important that you tell your doctor this. He will simply give you an AIDS test and find out for you. If you do, in fact have AIDS, it is EXTREMELY important that you find out as soon as possible. There are certain extra things the doctor MUST do to manage your bronchitis, in the short term, in order to make certain you recover. But, more importantly, you need to take AIDS drugs. AIDS, left untreated is a death sentence.....as in you will die in pretty much the most horrible way imagineable. Luckily, we have extremely effective treatments these days. For the rest of your life, you MUST take your medications and take them according to a meticulous schedule. That is the bad news. The good news is you can pretty much expect to live a normal lifespan as long as you take your meds. Stop taking them though or be an idiot about taking them correctly and you will DIE! Simple as that.

Hiv and aids are both virsus contracted in different ways, they dont develop from bronchitis or pnemounia. zitromax is a strong 5 day antibiotic its a higher dose than regular anti biotics. aids and hiv are transfered from blood, and bodily fluids. so if you are a needle user, or have unprotected sex, then you are at risk of contracting hiv and aids.

Your doctor is probably right about you having bronchitis--if it was pneumonia you would have enough energy to be asking questions on Yahoo! (trust me, I've had it). Zithromax is some good stuff, so if you aren't feeling better in a couple days, get your butt back in to the doctor.
