Some causes and effect of contracting HIV/AIDS?

I am helping a young lady do a report and she is asking for some causes and effects to having AIDS i have help her with some and she has come up with some very good ones herself but she wants some additional help

Causes: Unprotected sex with someone who's HIV positive, Blood transfusion with HIV Positive blood, sharing drug needles with an HIV positive person.

Effects: Potential for Serious illness, compromised immune system, death due to complications from such illnesses. Also, effects include shame, fear, isolation, depression, and hesitancy to have children for fear of passing on the disease.

one way (besides sexual intercourse) that you can contract hiv/aids is from sharing needles - needles used for medical use and drug injecting

aids can effect the income of a family because someone who has aids may not be able to work and they'll spend a lot of money on medical needs.
