Can you develop HIV / AIDS just from believing you might have it? |
This might be a stupid question, but I heard somewhere that if you really believe you are HIV+ (when you aren't), your body can actually develop it by itself. Is this true? I'm just curious... Yes, this is true about AIDS and also a number of other diseases. Many studies have been done linking a number of cancers being spread by the mere thought of them. A case study in England asked patients to concentrate on a particular illness over a 6 week period, and 35% of the participants actually contracted that illness. It is interesting to note that 6% of the patients contracted the illness of the person sitting next to them, just because they knew it was contagious. You can develop aids from just thinking it! If you believe really really hard tha tyou have aids, your body will show all the symptoms, but you can't pass it on because it's not really there! Below is the rest of my story! Report It A 13yrold girl wanted to be pregnant so bad that she kept telling herself she was and 3 days later she began lactating! Report It I don't believe that, since it's not an airborne disease. no No sleeping with an infected person causes aids No, the HIV virus is present in blood and body secretions (ie, seminal fluid), you cannot 'think yourself infected', you need direct invasive contact with an infected person to contract the virus. xx No silly thats like you can't have a baby without having sex |
