HIV leads to AIDS or the other way around, they're essentially the same disease, they will kill you yes, only way to check for them is to get tested. Herpes I wouldn't ever expect to die from, I'm sure it's not unheard of, but as long as you take medication to reduce the swelling/outbreak/whatever you can, you should be fine, again the only way to be sure you have herpes is to see a doctor and take a blood test.

Get yourself to your local health clinic & get tested - only way to know for sure if you have either.

You can do a little test at home though to see if you are in a high risk category;
1. Do you have unprotected sex with multiple partners?
2. Do you have unprotected anal sex?
3. Do you share needles for IV drug use (medicinal or otherwise)
4. Did you have a blood transfusion before 1986 (you should already have been contacted by the health department if this was the case)?
5. Did you get a tattoo in a really dodgy place that did not use clean equipment?
6. Have any of your sexual partners tested positive - even if you did use protection?

If you answered yes to any of these you should consider being tested.

U need to be tested since you may have been doing a lot sleeping around and doing some drugs too. U need a blood test and tell the people what you are afraid of. They will do the needful. Once you have found out and if infected, would be told to take medicine, DO TAKE the medicine. Herpes is a slow torture for the rest of life for you and if you get married for you partner. AIDS/HIV you will rest of the life taking your meds, if not it would be a slow torturous death.

aids is a very serious disease..that destroys your immoune system..people are living a much longer healthier life now days..with new treatments...herpes is not a life threatning illness...you will need a blood test at the doctors...and these are monstly routine..so...dont be scared to go...goodluck

Technically, you don't DIE from AIDS. The low T cell count shows a poor immune system. People with AIDS die from common infections that healthy people would not even notice.

The only way to know is to get tested and to get tested anytime you feel that you might have had a new exposure (eg new partner, partner might be cheating, get stuck with a needle etc.). It is ALWAYS better to be on the safe side and get tested.

its illeagal to look for HIV or AIDS in your blood without your consent. if you think you are at risk of having an STD go to a clinic and get teseted. if you can't afford it they will do it for free at a free clinic

You would die of aids. Not so much hiv. Hiv is like and inactive aids. Once its active its aids. You wont die immediately but over time you will die alot sooner than you actually would if you didnt have it. With herpies. A good sign that you have it would be a lot of cold sores. Or a bunch of little sores in the same spot. And genital herpies is kinda of similar. They both itch. But genital herpies looks more like a scab or really sore sore. Hurts when you pee. All that other stuff. Little sores. Or even big ones that are very noticable. They itch and hurt at the same time. If you seem to have any of these symptomes. See a doctor asap and dont itch.

hiv-human Immuno-deficiency virus causes the body to not work properly in your immune system which means your body does not have the ability to fight infections and disease.

aids- is acquired immune deficiency syndrome which means that someone with this disease can have a wide range of diseases etc.

the best way to protect yourself from the diseases you mentioned are abstinence. however, if that is not possible you should always protect yourself by using condoms. they are not 100% reliable, but better then nothing.

Herpes cause ulcers on the genitals like mouth sores. A culture is taken from them if suspected. Herpes is not that dangerous of a disease mostly just very inconvenient

No, they do not test for STDs when they check your cholesterol.

There is no way of knowing if you have Herpes for sure unless you go get the blood test or a swab culture of an open sore.

no one dies from aids, just complications of aids.i gues you could die from complications of herpes, but it would have to be a serious infection. no on ever dies from HIV , just compliations of AIDS.
