How do you catch HIV and Aids?

me and my sister is having an argument of how you can catch HIV and Aids.. i say you have to have sexual intercourse with someone without protection..and she says and there are other ways to catch it to if you rub onto another persons skin who is infected with it or kissing and saliva exchanging with the person that is infected? isnt the only way to catch it is having sexual intercourse with the person that is infected?

YOU CAN NOT GET HIV FROM KISSING!! You can get HIV from sexual intercourse, sharing an infected needle, or from contact with infected blood.

You absolutely cannot get HIV through kissing, not unless you're in the habit of biting eachother, swallowing the blood, and making sure it hits a cut you happen to have somewhere down the digestive track. Yeeah, not happening.

HIV is transmitted via blood, semen, vaginal secretions, and breast milk.

In the case of breast milk, an infant swallowing it with an undeveloped immune system might be at risk, but an adult, not so much.

Contacting a needle infected with hiv+ blood would also put you at risk, which is why IV drug users who are sharing needles can develop HIV.

kissing doesnt matter,its only through unprotected sex or oral sex if someone has an infection like mouth ulcers etc or thru blood,sharing needles etc,general passionate kissing or oral sex safely wont endanger you but check with a doctor to be 100%on all the facts,dont take chances on a death sentence

You could also get it in theory by having any infected bodily fluid enter your body through a cuts and mucous membranes etc. People contract it as well though sharing syringes, needlestick injuries etc
