Ca you get aids if you sheve w/ a razor that might have been used by someone with aids/ hiv? |
can you get aids that way if the person with aids/hiv cut thmselved w/razor and i used it but there was no visible blood on it and i washed it w/warm water before using it?..what if i cut myself? It's very unlikely because the HIV virus can't live outside the body very long but there is a slight chance so you should never share a razor with an infected person. There is a slight, just barly chance. THROW THE RAZOR AWAY. Better safe than sorry. It's nearly impossible as the virus dies when it's exposed outside the body. It doesnt thrive on surfaces. But I wouldnt take my chance if I was you. There is always a chance. You are not supposed to share razors with a person who has hiv/aids. Even though there is a minimal chance of getting infected this way, I would recommend that you get yourself tested just to be safe. It's possible. That's why it is advised not to use someone else's razor. Same thing with a toothbrush and anything else in which a blood exchange is possible. Unlikley, yet its a risk since there is a possibility of some blood transferal. |
