Can u get hiv or aids and all that from a kiss?

I have been wondering for ages, can you get aids/hiv from a snog. Or any other diseases?

well first of all you cant get aids from anything else than HIV. as for HIV, it is transmitted in 3 ways.

- Blood to blood contact. think bloodtransfusion, bloodbrothers, sharing drug needles etc.
- Sexual contact, penetration and deposition of bodilyfluids like semen or natural lubricants made by the body, can transfer the virus.
- Mother to child tranmission in the womb (which nowadays can eb prevented with medication.)

you cannot get hiv from kissing, unless blood is exchanged through cuts in the skin. even when blood is excanged through cuts in the mouth, the volume would be so small that infection is highly unlikely.

there are STD's that are transmittable orally, herpes is an example of this.

No, you would need to drink something like 8 gallons of saliva to get HIV... so a little kiss won't do anything.

You cannot get HIV from a kiss unless the person with it has an open cut in the mouth (because it can then be transmitted by blood). You can pass on a few diseases that are in the mouth by kissing, but it has to be in the mouth and not somewhere else (such as the genitals) and they're not really STDs.

You can't really get aids & hiv from a kiss but I know that exchange in saliva is a risk, the only other disease you can get from kissing is herpes, these get exchange from genitals to mouth & mouth to genitals. So you shouldn't kiss or let someone give you oral sex if they have a coldsore as this is the herpes virus & it can be passed back & forth.

You can only get hiv from snogging if you gargle about a gallon of their saliva. Not going to happen.

You can get colds, flu, coldsores and a nice range of diseases but if you start going out properly you soon become immune to each others bacteria.

You can only get hiv from a kiss if you are french kissing someone who has it & you have a sore in your mouth, such as a cut or canker sore. You can't get it from a sneeze, or snot, or hugging, or sharing a drink, etc. The most common way to get it is from unprotected sex.

All these people saying 'no' make sense but would YOU snog someone with AIDS for 拢100?? I wouldn't!!

if you pass bodily fluids there maybe a chance you can get them not from a normal kiss thou
