....................Aids///// hiv???????????????

Guyss,,,,
1st of all.....Wat's the difference between Aids and HIV????

Does a person gets Aids/HIV only when he/she has a Sexual
Intercourse????
M' also talking abt Gays!!! If two men have sex..1 having HIV puts his pennis inside the other ones a*s!!! Does tht man gets Aids too??????

HIV is the virus.
The goes through 4 stages as HIV slowly destroys a certain type of white blood cell in the immune system.
At stage 4, a person has AIDS. This means HIV has killed most, if not all, of the white blood cells, and a person is no longer able to hold off infections. AIDS is so bad because diseases the average person (even the very young and elderly) could fend off with their immune system will attack an AIDS patient.

A person can get HIV from 3 different ways:
Sex (body fluids such as vaginal secretions and semen): Having oral/vaginal/anal sex
Blood: Receiving blood from an infected person either through a blood transfusion (the Red Cross in the USA are actually very strict when testing blood now for HIV) or sharing a needle with an infected person. There is a possibility if one person has a cut and comes in contact with another person's blood, they could get HIV too.
Mother to child: HIV can pass from an infected mother to an unborn child

If gay men have anal sex, yes, it is possible for the person putting their penis into the rectum of another to get HIV. If trauma is done to the rectum during sex resulting in tiny ruptures of the rectum and bleeding, blood from the infected person's rectum could reach the other person's penis. Personally, I still think it is easier for the person on the receiving end to get HIV from an infected person on the giving end than the other way around. Anything is possible though.

Aids you near death. hiv doesn't be you have aids yet but can turn in to aids. no cure. it is transmitted through sex sharing needles and rarely blood transfusion.

i think its best that you ask professionals but what i know is that AIDS is a disease and HIV is the virus that causes the AIDS disease.

HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system. Many people who are infected with HIV go on to develop AIDS - this is where their immune system is so compromised that minor illnesses become life threatening.

The most common form of transmission of AIDS is via sexual intercourse, but it can also be contracted from infected blood entering a person's body. This can be from a blood transfusion, sharing of needles when drug taking, or through a break in the skin if infected blood gets on a cut or graze.

When two men have unprotected anal sex, if either of them are HIV+ (i.e. they have the HIV virus in their blood) then he can infect his partner.

HIV used to be a death sentence as there is no cure. However, in recent years combinations of various drugs have been used to control the disease to some degree. However, there is still no cure and the cocktail of drugs used to manage the virus can have severe side effects. Using a condom when having sex is the best way of preventing infection.

HIV is a virus that is contracted generally through bodily fluids. A person can have the HIV virus but not AIDS, which is Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. One has AIDS once the HIV virus has caused a certain amount of damage to the immune system causing a multitude of symptoms.
To reduce the spread of HIV and other STD's the only way possible during a form of sexual intercourse that has proven success, although NOT 100% success, is the proper use of condoms. If not the likelihood of contracting (being given from someone else) HIV is extremely high such as 99.9%.
If someone who has HIV and their blood, semen, or other body fluids comes into contact with my blood stream though broken skin on the inside (mouth, etc.) or outside of the body, it is also just as high of risk of contracting it. This is why all medical personnel are specifically trained making sure they should always at least wear gloves when in contact with patients - just in case.
I hope this adequately answers your questions.

HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a virus that attacks the body's T-cells. T-cells essentially detect the presence of harmful pathogens in the body and trigger the production of antibodies. A person is said to have AIDS or Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome after the T-cell count has fallen below 200 or if the individual has contracted an opportunistic infection, usually as a result of prolonged infection with HIV.

HIV can be transmitted through 4 bodily fluids: blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. Currently, HIV is transmitted most by sexual contact but, it can also be transmitted through a variety of other ways.

Of any form of sexual contact, anal sex has the highest rate of transmission of HIV. This is because the sensitive tissues of the rectum are easily torn, leaving openings for the virus to enter and escape. The risk of transmission in this manner can be drastically decreased through the use of condoms.
